Phone scoring with Trestle: the setup

Score every number with Trestle before you dial, load only the Dial First and Dial Second tiers, and cut roughly half the dead numbers from the list.

Coming soonThis lesson is not recorded yet. Ty films it next. It will appear here, with its video and the written walkthrough, the day it goes live.
What this lesson will cover
  • The reframe: you do not have a lead problem, you have a dialing problem. Blind dialing means ~50% dead numbers, a 2-3% connect rate, burned caller IDs (every dead dial trains the carrier algorithm), a
  • Do not dial disconnected numbers: they almost never come back through the Trestle pass, and the old habit of calling every number regardless is retired (Ty, D2 1:30:02).
  • What Trestle actually measures: ACTIVITY, not correctness. Skip tracing guesses which number belongs to the owner; Trestle confirms the line is alive from carrier data. Holding those two jobs separate
  • The 5-tier dial priority system: Dial First 81-100, Dial Second 61-80, Dial Third 41-60, Dial Fourth 21-40, Drop 0-20. Tags live on the phone number inside DataSift .
  • Line-type intelligence: mobile averages 80.8, true landlines 30.2; 24% of numbers DataSift labels "Landline" are actually VOIP and textable. A WRONG-status number still averaging 78.2 means the line i
  • Why this is also a compliance and spam tool: carriers watch for runs of disconnected dials (about 10 in a row reads as machine dialing); stripping dead numbers keeps every outbound number healthier .
  • Dial First: 30.3% correct rate, 1.9% dead; Dial First + Second hold 92% of all correct numbers in the study set
  • Blind dialing ~1 correct per 32 dials; scored ~1 per 10
  • Connect rate 2-3% blind vs 9.5% scored (4.75x, Joshua English split test)
  • 93.6% of correct phones score 70+; 88.4% of dead phones score 30 or below
  • The phone validator skill run in Claude: cost printout, litigation scrub option, the output CSV
  • The update-existing CSV upload mapping phone tag + phone number
  • A record with blue/red icons and dial tags after the pass
  • The 5-tier chart with correct-rate and dead-rate per band
  • The funnel: 2,000 numbers in, 980 dialable out, 92% of correct numbers kept
  • The 5-tier ladder with correct rate per rung and the cut line under tier 2
  • Skip trace vs Trestle as two different questions: "whose number is it?" vs "is the line alive?"
  • Caller ID as a depreciating asset: each dead dial a withdrawal, scoring as the deposit
