Sourcing candidates.

I show you how to fill any seat with an A player for about seventy bucks. Claude does the screening so you do not have to.

PART 1

Hire for free out of Facebook groups.

An agency will fill a seat for you, but you pay a steep premium for it. I have hired my whole team a different way, on both the REI side and the DataSift side. This part is the free route, start to finish.

What an agency costs you.

Stop paying an agency to run your whole hiring process.

Hiring is interesting in this space. If you try to use an agency to do this entire process for you, I have found it does not work very well. That holds for anything in this sector. They will work. You just have to pay a steep premium.

The going rate to hire someone who is vetted and all that good stuff is about 3 to $5,000 per hire. So if you want to find a caller, it is going to cost you anywhere from 3 to 5,000. Most people simply cannot afford that.

And I've tried out a lot of agencies on the REI side and also a lot of agencies on the data sub side for, bigger projects.

Search cold caller on Facebook and click the groups tab.

Go into your Facebook account. What we are looking for are groups where you can post for free for job offers. Some people use our main community for it, but that is not really a good example of it.

Type in cold caller, then go specifically to groups. You will find a ton of groups that mirror either REI specific cold calling or just calling in general. Open the first one that comes up and you can see jobs posted all the time. One of them was posted three minutes ago and already had three comments and three shares.

And if you come into this first one that came up here, you can see there are a ton of jobs being posted all the time.

Hiring is its own marketing funnel.

Post in country specific groups, not just general ones.

Some of these groups are country specific. Search cold caller and Latin America and you will find groups just for that. A good example is the Mexico and Latin America bilingual cold calling group. Make sure you actually click the groups tab.

Think about the hiring side as its own marketing funnel. You take attention, convert that attention to apply to your job, qualify the people who apply, and interview a very small portion of them. You want to get that in as many places as possible.

Expect a flood of applications from a handful of groups.

Groups is one of the most tried and true free methods I have found. I actually hired two people from it, so I can tell you that it does work.

The caveat is you will get an enormous amount of people reaching out to you. I did it in about 10 groups and I got about 200 applications, which is an absurd amount.

I actually tested this because I thought it was total horseshit when I first heard about it because I was like, there's no way this actually works.

Hire forward facing roles in Latin America.

Everyone on my team who talks to sellers or is forward facing is in Latin America. We paid a little bit more money to be there, but I think the quality is there. You can grow a full cycle salesperson who starts out cold calling, moves to lead management, and someday closes deals virtually.

They do not have to come from REI. When we hired Adriana she had no sales experience in REI. She had only been in sales for six months, and she closed three contracts in her first month. That is because we are really, really good at training.

doing this because I think it's a lot easier, especially when you're thinking about tougher conversations with sellers, when they understand American culture and are also bilingual.

PART 2

Post by country, screen with Claude.

This is the part where the money changes. The same seat an agency fills for thousands, you fill for about $70. You post the job yourself and let a Claude skill do the first pass on applicants.

Post the job in the right country.

Hire your closers locally in The States.

Her base is 1,100. We pay her 2 and a half percent of a just cold call lead. We pay her 5% if she takes them all the way through the process. Our closers get 10% of the deal.

That blends together to about 17 and a half percent of a full transaction, or 20% for nice round math. If we get an assignment for $10,000, all of that 20% goes straight out the door to the sales team. In turn, we do not have to be on sales calls all day.

If you're someone who is, trying to do the closing side, I would recommend hiring them locally in The States.

Expect to pay daily ad spend on Indeed.

This is Indeed. With Indeed, LinkedIn, Monster or whoever, you are paying on a daily basis to have your job shown to people they think should see it. Those are the premium sponsored posts.

This method works for The US and it works as the paid option anywhere else.

And this method that I'm gonna show you guys, I think I paid about $70 per hire on average versus that 3 to 5 k per hire.

Use the country URL from the hiring guide.

Come into the challenge hub page and open the hiring guide. There is a list of each of the countries you would want to post in. This part is really important.

Say you want to post a job in The Philippines. You need to use that exact URL, because you can only post a job in the country you are posting in. You will know you are in the right place because the country's abbreviation is there.

Hiring guide table of country specific Indeed posting links for employers

Each country has a daily spend.

Write the post with qualification questions in it.

All of the job descriptions and everything I am talking about here sit inside the hiring guide on the challenge guide page. I put the pay in their local currency so it is easier to read.

I always add qualification questions. Can you speak fluent English. How many years of cold calling, telemarketing or phone sales experience do you have. Are you comfortable making 150 plus click to dial calls a day.

That last one tells them this is a high volume role. If someone does not want to do that, I would rather they never apply. The daily spend varies by country. The Philippines was the cheapest at about 5 or $6 per day, Mexico about $10, Colombia $8, and The US about 15 to $25.

So if I wanted to post a job in several Latin American countries, you are going to have to pay a daily spend for each those countries.

Daily spend

A premium post costs a different amount per country.

The Philippines$5 to $6
Colombia$8
Mexico$10
The US$15 to $25

You pay a daily spend for each country you want to post in.

Let Claude sort the applications into a spreadsheet.

The UI shows you the actual applications, and they all land in this little message inbox. It shows everyone you have interacted with, shortlisted or messaged.

This is why the agencies have gotten away with charging so much. Screening these people, interviewing them and finding the best ones is a lot of work. So I make the job post and run Claude as an automation that puts them all in a running spreadsheet.

Then I look at the top ones myself. If I like them, I message them this exact phrase. Hey. I love your application. Can you please send me a Loom video just to verify identity and your background for your resume.

So I had a 178 for just Columbia, and all of these are essentially put into these kind of message, little inbox here.

Claude reviews each applicant step by step.

Ask every applicant you like for a Loom video.

I am not asking to hear how their accent sounds. I am checking that they are who they say they are, and I get to hear how they sound talking naturally.

That is the process I run for all the roles.

It's actually verifying that they are who they say they are, and you can also hear how they sound on the phone through just like a natural, language.

Screening flow

The skill screens and you make the call.

  1. 1Run it on a scheduleI run this on a scheduled task to check it twice per day.
  2. 2Score into a spreadsheetIt puts them in a running spreadsheet with a score out of 10, their location, and their experience.
  3. 3Review at end of dayI review that at the end of each day and name the people I like.
  4. 4Send the Loom messageIt goes into your account and reaches out using that exact message.
  5. 5Watch Looms, interview top threeI watch the Loom videos they send, then interview the top three.

Run the skill on a scheduled task.

This lives in the skills inside the same flow I showed you. I started by telling it I want to automate this, how do I automate it. Now that it is built out, it reviews each one of these applicants step by step.

Use Claude Cowork for this. The Google Chrome extension is really stable, it logs in as you, and you will not get your IP address banned. I have it check on a scheduled task and it runs the whole process on its own.

It puts each person in a running spreadsheet with a score out of 10. It logs their accent, where they are located, their real estate and cold calling experience, their answers, and notes with a recommendation. I review that at the end of each day and say go ahead and message Ricardo and Valentina. It sends the message for me, I watch the Looms, then I interview the top ones.

And with those two hires that I made throughout this process, I spent about a $140 on ad spend through Indeed and then posted them all on Facebook.
